We are proud to announce that our endowment, your endowment, has reached $500,000. The Golden Heart Community Foundation (GHCF), an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), is your community endowment which began in 2013. Our goal is to address a broad range of community needs through grants to local nonprofits. The interest earned from this endowment is the source of our granting dollars. GHCF has granted more than $34,000 to local nonprofits since it’s inception, including more than $17,000 in 2017.
With your help, we can continue making a difference in our community. Your donations help grow this fund. Having greater impact on the nonprofits that serve our friends and neighbors in need is what we aim to do. When we are successful in fundraising, our community is strengthened, quality of life is improved, and gaps in services are filled.
