Legacy Society

Gifts to the Golden Heart Community Foundation (GHCF) build a “community permanent fund” for the future. Many donors make their largest contributions through planned gifts, which are invested to grow over time and help GHCF provide grants for our community.

“I was born and raised here in Fairbanks and wouldn’t trade it for anywhere. There aren’t many who could leave foundations like my friend, Bill Stroecker did, but we can each be a part of GHCF”. ~ Rick Schikora (both Rick and his wife Cheryl are Legacy Members)

Your legacy gift today will do good works tomorrow.

Planned giving means that your assets remain untouched during your lifetime. Bequests are not payable until the time of death. Then, your planned gift lives on to benefit the whole community.

“I first learned about the Golden Heart Community Foundation when my husband and I were redoing our will. We wanted to leave some of our estate to support our Fairbanks Community, our home for so many years. When we learned about the Golden Heart Community Foundation, it fit our needs perfectly. I know there are so many people out there like my husband and me that want to directly support Fairbanks today and in the future, and the Golden Heart Community Foundation is an avenue to help them complete their wishes.”
